Senior Director

Margot Plotz is a senior director at Basis. She focuses on opportunity development, research and evaluation activities, project management, supporting client relationships, and strategic operational initiatives. She is currently on the research team for three large, scale studies to understand the implementation and impact of teacher residencies and apprenticeships in addition to leading an evaluation to understand the impact of grant funding to support adult learner initiatives in post-secondary education. Margot leads business development, collaborating with leadership to design and develop strategy and secure partnerships for organizational growth.

Prior to joining Basis, Margot served as the executive director of development for a teacher residency and professional development non-profit, a development manager for a large education research organization, and an academic policy officer for the state of Colorado. Margot holds an MPA from the University of Colorado Denver and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Colorado Boulder. When she isn’t focused on researching policy and funding, she is hopping on a plane to travel to one of many motorsports tracks to watch NASCAR and experience the combination of speed, strategy, and precision.
