Liv focuses on project management, program evaluation, and research activities with an emphasis on primary data collection design, deployment, and validation. Her recent projects include the evaluation of the Michigan Department of Education’s Statewide System of Support program, an assessment of Kent County’s housing needs and emergency shelter capacity, and a multi-year study of the implementation and impact of the Ready by Five Early Childhood Millage.
Liv is a lifelong Michigander. Hailing from a small, agricultural town, she had to advocate for advanced educational opportunities for herself and her peers. This work from an early age undoubtedly contributed to her passion for using data to inform policy decisions to better serve underrepresented groups. Professionally and personally, Liv is driven to improve equitable access to high quality education and public services.
She holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) with concentration in state, regional, and local governance from Grand Valley State University’s college of Community and Public Service. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan where she focused her studies in political science and international studies.
